Manages comprehensive programs regarding alcohol and other drugs (AOD) prevention. Leads coalitions and committees of students, faculty, staff, and community members. Collaborates with campus and community partners. Administers population-level risk-reduction educational programs. Directs staff, graduate assistants, and interns. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

25% - Essential - Manage, direct, administer, implement, and evaluate evidence-informed health promotion strategies, programs, and services regarding AOD. Develop strategic plans, goals, and measurable objectives for Healthy Campus programs and services in order to achieve university AOD goals. Contribute to policy development regarding AOD issues.

25% - Essential - Hire, train, manage, supervise, and evaluate graduate assistants, and undergraduate interns. Ensures all are well-versed in the best practices in higher education related AOD prevention and education.

20% - Essential - Administer population-level risk reduction education programs, including on-line modules, print and social media campaigns, and web content.

20% - Essential - Lead the Clemson Community Coalition, the AOD Executive Leadership Team, and participate in related university and state committees. Work collaboratively stakeholders on and off campus to develop a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to health for students. Serve as a co-instructor for a Creative Inquiry team focused on alcohol and other drug research and outreach education.

10% - Essential - Develop, implement, manage, and analyze periodic student health surveys that provide baseline and follow-up health data, identify program needs and priorities, evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, and track trends in student health status and behavior.

10% - Essential - Diversity: Incorporates multicultural diversity and social justice concepts and principles into healthy campus services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree - Mental health counseling, student affairs, public health, psychology or a related field

Work Exp 3+ years professional experience.

Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

5% - Overnight Travel

The employee may periodically attend regional or national conferences (approximately once or twice per year). The employee may occasionally travel around the state to provide trainings. The employee may also provide trainings in the evenings and/or on weekends.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 06 ($ 40,759.00 - $ 46,000.00)
