30% - Essential - Case Management - Provides case management services to employees by asking qualifying questions to determine complexities and needs to resolve issues and maximize outcomes in a positive customer service manner. Evaluates and recommends optimal benefit programs and paths that will benefit the employee?s situation. Monitors employee cases by verifying enrollments, observing and evaluating participation, advocating for needed services, obtaining additional resources, and providing personal support within the defined regulations. Partners with employees to proactively identify and remove obstacles to obtain the best possible outcome. Reports the status of cases as required.

Collaborates with the other the leads to calibrate and refine the program and strategy mix to ensure a comprehensive and employee-centric benefits and well-being is provided. Proposes to and collaborates with leadership to implement new programs and strategies as well as enhancements and modifications to existing programs. Serves as the leader and subject matter expert for the assigned benefits and well-being area.
20% - Essential - Communications and Training Collaborates with the other leads, benefit leaders, the Total Rewards team and OHR Communications to develop and provide clear, concise and informative communication and education vehicles, including newsletters, emails, tool kits, videos, social media campaigns, legal and regulatory disclosures, and other identified methods. Partners with university groups and external vendors to facilitate a central means of communicating benefits and well-being topics.
15% - Essential - Events Collaborates with other leads, benefit leaders, university groups, and external vendors to lead and execute events in the assigned benefits and well-being area. Partners with Total Campus Marketing to establish appropriate relationships with external firms who can financially support and possibly execute benefits and well-being events. Solicits and analyzes feedback from HR personnel and University faculty and staff to assist in determining health event and training needs.
15% - Essential - Knowledge and Administration - Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all university benefits and well-being programs and understands how employees can benefit from each program. Maintains employee records and files by logging case notes, events and progress. Reviews and manages employee transactions within unit systems. Verifies employee documents for accuracy and legitimacy. Partners with the Payroll department and the Benefits Administrator to ensure transactions and deductions are accurate and in compliance.
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Exp 3+ years of professional experience in insurance or retirement programs
Education - Master's Degree - in human resources, business, marketing, psychology or related
Experience - Relevant experience in higher education or state/public sector.
Certifications - Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
